Customer Emails

I love receving emails like this one!

Kody,
Just got it. Love it love it love it. Fits like a glove, perfectly, front to back and side to side  Really like how you shaped it. Took elements of the two brims I was torn between and blended them perfectly. The crown is very distinctive. Love the color too. Overall way exceeded my expectations. It's almost elegant.
It'll be perfect for Las Vegas in December and in KC in September.
Thanks again so much. Hope I wasn't too much of a pain.

Crazy Requests

Last weekend we took our Custom Hats on the road.  I had a man come up and talk to my lil bro about doing a "total" custom hat!  The man asked if we did our own felting, or if we could have "special requests" with the people that do it.  He wanted us to felt the years of POODLE HAIR that he had been saving from he now deceased favorite dog! My lil brother was floored, and didn't have a clue what to say, so he had the man explain his request to my wife.
The man was sure it could be done, He wanted to make it brown cause that was her color.  They both came to me not knowing how to react, or what to say.
So I am going to find out what we can do for him and maybe make a "dog collar" Hat band with the dog tags on the buckle set?

Fat Horses!

About 6 years ago, I worked on a dude ranch down by Zion National Park.  I had a great time being on a horse every day. One of the memories from there really helped me tune in one of my skills.  I got alot of practice throwing my Hat.  We had about 22 head of horses that could never get enough feed.  They would constantly eat while on our rides.  This got really old for me, so I would throw my Hat under them to keep the line moving.  There was this one horse named Pinky that just didnt care about the Hat under his feet.  I had to take it a step further.  In the time I was there I became very precise about hitting him right on the ass with my Hat from 2 horses back!

I'm not gonna lie it is a helpful skill to have.  This unique talant comes in handy with stray dogs, knocking a kite out of a tree, starting a fight, the ring toss at the State Fair, and works great on small childern to keep them from touching the DVD player during the best part of Yogi Bear.  So all of you practice up because one day you will need to be on top of your game!

Joke of the Day!

The Naked Blonde Cowboy
A sheriff in a small town walked out in the street and saw a blonde cowboy coming down the walk with nothing on but his cowboy hat, gun and his boots.
So the sheriff arrested him for indecent exposure. As he was locking him up he asked "Why in the world are you dressed like this?"
The Cowboy said, "Well it's like this Sheriff... I was in the bar down the road and this pretty little red head asked me to go out to her motor home with her....and I did.
"We went inside and she pulled off her top and asked me to pull off my shirt, .... so I did....
"Then she pulled off her skirt and asked me to pull off my pants... so I did...
"Then she pulled off her panties and asked me to pull off my shorts... So I did...
"Then she got on the bed, looked at me kind of funny and said, Now go to town cowboy....
"So here I am!"

Grizzly Hats!

Here it is the day before September and the month of September means fall time!  With that, there is no better Hat for Wild and Woolly Wednesday.  The fall weather brings cooler temperatures and the rule of thumb on Hats is Felt after Labor Day!!  In case you didn't know it's this coming Monday!

American Hat Company & Resistol Hats both make this Grizzly Hat.  It has fur that is close to a 1/2 inch long which gives it a real shaggy look.  There is NO Beaver content in these Hats what so ever!  They are all rabbit fur which makes the quality not much more then a 4x.  This Hat has a style of its own!!
